Hey John and Edwin,

What a special spot in a well-equipped apartment with an unforgettable view!

Excellent tips on what to see and where to eat that are really worth the 'effort'. Well entertained and saw a lot in the beautiful surroundings.

Eline is worth her weight in gold, thank you for everything!
All that's left to say:

Thank you so much! We've had a super holiday....

Ciao

Alexander en Wilma Markusse

We really enjoyed your apartment, the week flew by. We went to Rome, spent a day at the beach, visited the villages around the lake, hiked near Pitigliano and visited Orvieto.

In short, we enjoyed this region, which has not yet been overrun by tourists.

Kind regards

Gerrit & Betsie, Zwartsluis

Dear John and Edwin,

The previous guests have written glowing words about your apartment! We wholeheartedly agree. Simply a little piece of paradise on earth!

A big thank you to Eline for the welcome and guidance. Just great!

We had a wonderful 2 weeks and got to experience Italian life a little.

Orvieto and Viterbo are beautiful cities. The "dying city" Civita di Bagnoregio is also worth a visit.

The Mediterranean Sea remains stunning to look at and all good to drive. "Terme di Saturnia" with waterfalls where you can relax wonderfully is also nice, too much to mention!

Many thanks and warm regards,

Eric & Carla Lammertink

Dear John and Edwin,

We spent this week at your gorgeous apartment with the stunning view, and we had a wonderful time. Fantastic!

We saw and did a lot. Tuscania, Viterbo, Pitigliano, Orvieto, Bolsena, Bagnoregio, Capodimonte, each one a very special, beautiful old town where you keep wandering around in awe.

And of course we also thoroughly enjoyed the Italian cuisine. In short, this week flew by.

Thank you so much, and it was lovely that we could make use of your apartment and that Eline showed us around and gave us tips!

Love,

Saakje en Andries uit Drachten

Dear John and Edwin,

We had the pleasure of staying in your apartment for a week. A wonderful stay, fully furnished, very clean, with a fantastic view, and what we especially loved is that it is located in the village of Valentano, where friendly people live who greet you, even when you are a stranger.

We will definitely recommend your apartment to anyone who wants to visit this region of Italy.

Thank you also to Eline, who welcomed us warmly and was available for questions and help.

With warm regards,

Jack en Wilma

Dear John, Edwin and Eline,

It is absolutely beautiful here!
I am writing this while looking out over the lake; what a magnificent view, and something I will certainly miss back in the Netherlands.
We have enjoyed everything that Italy in general, and this area in particular, has to offer. And that is a lot!
So thank you for renting us this pleasant and complete apartment, and for all the information.

Take care!

Best wishes,

Joan en Helma

Dear John and Edwin,
What a fantastic apartment you have, and in a super beautiful spot! We enjoyed the view of the lake, but also regularly sat on the shore under the tree, in the wind: lovely! The towns and villages are beautiful, the cathedral of Orvieto was a surprise, magnificent. Rome was grand (for St. Peter's and the Sistine Chapel there are no fitting words.....and we were amazed by the freely accessible and somewhat hidden waterfalls of Saturnia. Sulfur-rich water of 37 degrees Celsius, where you're allowed to bathe just like that, while the waterfall current massages you. Among all the ordinary Italians, what a relaxing experience. Unfortunately, you still smell slightly of sulfur for two days.... We just managed to avoid a porcupine on the road along the lake to Gradoli, where the little restaurants are too. We experienced a lot, took in many impressions, and especially enjoyed ourselves very much in Valentano and surroundings!! Your info map and personal guidance by Eline turned our holiday into a world holiday!!
Thank you and hopefully see you again!
P.S. The restaurant tips were wonderful!
Warm regards from

Dear rescuers in need,

Our week in your little palace has unfortunately come to an end already. Upon arrival we found a lovely and tidy apartment, where we immediately felt at home. We took advantage of your good advice and saw many beautiful things and tasted many delicious things from this lovely country. The stamcafé was also fantastic.
After your help with the car rental, our holiday could not have been better!

You are also lucky with Eline. What a kind, lovely woman she is.
We had a pleasant chat and she recommended several eateries to us. Really great!

Thanks for everything!

With love,

Wim en Anja

Dear John and Edwin,

Wow, what a fantastic apartment you have!
You must be really proud of it! Tastefully furnished and equipped with every convenience.

After some hassle with various cars, everything worked out and we were able to enjoy the beautiful view!
Following Eline's good tips, we've seen a lot of the surroundings!

We're now moving on to our next accommodation at Lake Trasimeno, but it won't get any nicer than this!

Eline, thank you again for your warm welcome and all your lovely care!

Warm regards...

We thoroughly enjoyed everything the surroundings have to offer. First of all, the surroundings. What beautiful pictures this produced. The walk around the lake alone left us absolutely delighted.

We were able to stay for 2 weeks in this lovely and cozy cottage and made many day trips from here. And how nice that there was a map full of information, we got a lot of use out of it!
We could now tell you what to do, but not everyone likes the same things.
What we especially want to pass on: Enjoy! Enjoy the beautiful sunrise every morning. Enjoy the delicious cappuccinos! And one tip: Rome is really easy to do by train and well worth the effort.

Eline, thank you very much for your welcome! It was nice to be greeted by a Dutch-speaking person after such a long car journey. And a big thank you for the warm welcome you gave us. And thank you for your help with the power outage.

John and Edwin, of course many thanks to you both for letting us stay in your cottage. A perfectly maintained stay with every convenience.

Carpe diem!

Edwin and John,

Thank you for letting us use your house.
We really enjoyed it!

It is a beautiful house, with everything you could wish for! The privacy on the balcony and the stunning view. The sun, which rises every morning above the mountains and turns the sky an orange glow. The lake, the beautiful cloudscapes and the stillness. This was enjoying a beautiful piece of nature, and it made a great impression on us and brought us a little closer to God.

Through an advertisement in the Italy guide (www.umbriainvespa.com) we went on a scooter trip around Lake Trasimeno. It was far away, but certainly worth the effort!

Eline, thank you too for all the information you so spontaneously shared with us!

Greetings, Teun and Ans, Bodegraven

John and Edwin,

We had a wonderful holiday. Meike and Willeke also enjoyed it here. We already have plans for a next stay.

Siena was a recommendation we'd pass on. We had delicious pizza at Il Campo on the square.

The Gnocchi festival too; long tables where everyone can join in and taste local specialties is fun and tasty to experience in San Lorenzo Nuovo.

Rome by train is easy to do from Montalto di Castro. We bought tickets at the ticket machine. Then you have a direct train to Rome. We took the hop on hop off bus but next time we would do everything on foot. The bus was quite pricey but definitely worth it!

The accommodation is great with a lovely balcony and a stunning view.

We spent a few times at the beach at Capodimonte; cozy and small with nice little eateries.

Eline, thanks for the tip; the gnocchi festival and arrival with prosecco and some snacks.

Thank you for the lovely stay, John and Edwin.

Dear Edwin and John,

What a wonderful apartment, and with a fantastic view as well! We had a great time here, and you can find everything you need. We visited several of the surrounding villages, and along the water in Capodimonte you can relax nicely and grab something to eat or drink at the various little restaurants.

Unfortunately, our last day has arrived, and tomorrow morning we are driving to another holiday destination.

Eline, thank you for taking such good care of us and for all the tips!
Edwin and John, thank you for letting us stay in your apartment. We may well do this again some time.

Holiday greetings, Marco & Bea

Dear Edwin and John,

Tonight we are leaving after three weeks of enjoying your beautiful and well-equipped apartment. It got off to a good start with the very warm welcome from Eline.
In the past few weeks we have had warm to hot weather (35 degrees), too hot to visit the cities. On some of the less hot days we went to Assisi, Orvieto, Viterbo and, of course, all the villages around the lake. We will do Rome once, with a city trip.

We have not left any tips behind. In our experience, tastes differ enormously, and discovering nice little restaurants and sights is an adventure in itself. There is an enormous wealth of special features.

We enjoyed everything this region has to offer. Eline, thank you for the support and the tips!

Greetings from Ed and Ellen in IJsselstein.

Dear John and Edwin,

We drove towards Italy through a thunderstorm. The closer we got to Valentano, the drier it became!
After the lovely welcome from Eline, we looked at your apartment, which looks wonderfully complete and tidy. It's nice to have someone from your own country to tell you about things and explain the area!

The weather turned out wonderfully after that (even a little too warm to do anything)

There are plenty of options around the lake to keep yourselves entertained. Our favourite is Bolsena, with its lovely restaurant (on stilts) by the little square in the centre by the lake.

Within about an hour and a half you can be in Albinia, a beautiful sandy beach on the Mediterranean with reed parasols and lovely sun beds.

In short, a great holiday with a beautiful surroundings!!

P.S. Eline, that Prosecco was delicious, and what a lovely day that was at the pool at Casale le Crete!

Warm regards, Rien and Ingrid

We had a lovely week in your clean apartment, which was equipped with every convenience. And what a sweet welcome from Eline, and the delicious drink that was waiting for us.
Lots of information in the house and, of course, the view, which is breathtakingly beautiful. A lovely spot for breakfast and a wonderful terrace to relax on.

Dear Edwin & John,

We would like to thank you warmly for our stay in your beautiful apartment! Equipped with every convenience, really wonderful!

We visited the villages of Bolsena and Viterbo and also spent a day in Rome.

We will probably come back next year, because there is still so much we haven't seen:)

And of course, thank you Eline too for the lovely care, and perhaps until next year!
